Marijuana and Hashish


What are Marijuana and Hashish?

Marijuana is a mixture of the chopped leaves, stems, flowers, and seeds of the Indian hemp plant, Cannibus Sativa.
Hashish is a stronger form of marijuana because it contains more of the plant's oil, or THC. Most often, marijuana and hashish are smoked. Hash may also be eaten.

Slang Terms

Marijuana may be called Acapulco gold, bhang, buds, Colombian gold, dope ganja, grass, hay herb, Jamaican jive mary jane, Panama red, pot tea, thai stick toke, weed, bone, doobie jay, joint, numbers, reefer, roach, spliff, THC, hash, or hash oil.

How does Marijuana Affect the Body?

Marijuana is a psychoactive (mind-altering) drug. Users experience effects such as extreme moodes, increased appetite. Forgetfulness, delusions, dizziness, headaches, redness of the eyes, panic, impaired coordination and balance and severe vomiting.
Smoking marijuana over long periods of time can cause a reduction of sperm counts in men, and the risk of infertility in women. Heart disease, fatigue, paranoia, brain damage, and lung cancer are others side effects.
