Facts
For Young Men |
- Boys and Men do get raped.
We don't know how often, because they are even more hesitant than the females to get help or report the crime.
- Statutory Rape:
Any female under 18 cannot Legally consent to intercourse. It doesn't matter whether the male partner is older or younger than the female, or if he is over 18 or under 18, it is still considered statutory rape.
- Rape or Date Rape is punishable by at least 1 year to life in prison.
- It can be considered rape for someone to give an intended victim so much alcohol or drugs that they cannot resist.
- Young men can be sued in a civil court and be forced to pay money to a victim.
- Young men who have run away or are living on the streets are at greater risk of sexual assault.

What Men Should Know |

You DO NOT Have the right to pressure
or force a woman to have sex even if:
You paid for her dinner or gave her a gift
She wears suggestive clothing or flirts, or "comes on to you".
You met her at a party and she has a reputation of having "slept around."
At first she agrees to have sex and then changes her mind.
She says "No" but you think she's playing "hard to get."
You have been dating for a long time and you think it's time.
You have had sex with her before

Men Do have the right to: |
- Ask a girl what her sexual expectations, wishes, and intentions are. get clear answers.
- Change your mind about not having sex, at any time.
- Reject peer pressure and anything your friends may tell you to do.
- Be treated with equal respect in a relationship.

Tips for Men: |
- Don't assume you both want the same degree of intimacy.
- If you have any doubts...STOP..ASK...CLARIFY. Protect yourself from a charge of rape because you didn't ask.
- Being drunk or high is no excuse or defense, and it is still rape
- Gang rape, a dare or joke at a party is still rape and it is wrong.
